Description : |

Le fil est appelé "Le
vol du Corbeau" d'après un conte des
indiens du Nord Est américain. J'ai
choisi ce thème parce que ma
filleule s'intéresse aux corbeaux et
pour son magasin "The Rookery"
(colonie de corbeaux). Ce fil
comprend : du Rambouillet, du
Polypay, du Mérinos et de la mèche
d'une mélange soie/laine à 50/50,
des chutes de soie, divers fils
fantaisie, de la fibre Angelina, du
mohair et des plumes. Je l'ai
retordu avec du coton à crocheter
noir enfilé de perles et de la
rayonne.
The yarn is called "Raven's
Flight" based on a Northwest Native
American tale. I chose this theme
because of my swapee's interest in
ravens and her store in Kodiak
called "The Rookery". It includes:
Rambouillet, Polypay, Merino and
50/50 silk-wool roving; thrown silk
waste, various novelty yarns,
angelina, mohair, and feathers;
plied with beaded black cotton
crochet thread and rayon thread.

en tête la réponse de ma filleule à
la question si j'étais un fil :
"mi-princesse, mi-fée, un brin punk,
avec une pincée de rose-fille
scintillant cachée dans des mèches
de douceur"

fairy princess with a bit of
glittery pink girly girl hiding in
big slubs of softness".

avec un fil doré pour ajouter une
touche de brillance.

an additional gold thread for added
sparkle. |

Description : |

It was spun from "Waste
Not Want Not Thrum Roving" that was
spun thick and thin. I plied two
strands of the thick and thin along
with a periwinkle blue thread. The
roving itself was from left over
ends from the creator's knitting
projects of handspun, angora and
wool. The angora was dyed in jewel
tones and then cut into 3 inch
pieces and then paffapft fiber
processing blended it with a silver
med wool fleece. (from the label on
the roving) |

Ce fil a été filé
avec un mélange de races de mouton.
C'est un fil merveilleusement doux
qui alterne le fin et l'épais. Ces
fibres sont telles qu'elles peuvent
être facilement filée fin tout
autant qu'épais.
This yarn was spun
from a mix of breeds of sheep and is
a wonderfully soft thick and thin
yarn. This fiber is such that it
easily spins very fine or just as
well spins very thick. |
