She mentioned in her
questionnaire that she would love
something black, red & silver and
spun bulky. So I created this yarn
for her.
It is called 'The Flapper' and it is
made from Black merino, red super
wash wool, red wool boucle yarn
flowers, vintage silver rick rack,
antique silver sequins from and old
dress . It is spun thick and thin,
80 yards, weight, 5.6 oz |

Ceci est mon 2nd
écheveau, j'ai changé d'avis sur le
1er. Ma filleule aime la laine
"dodue" dans des couleurs de pierres
précieuses alors j'ai choisi des
pourpres et lila comme l'améthyste
et le jaspe. La laine elle-même est
du Blueface Leicester qui a une
brillance qui capte bien les
couleurs. J'ai adoré chaque minute
de cet échange.
This was my second
skein of wool, I changed my mind
about the first one. My spinnee
likes thick wool in jewel colours so
I picked the purples and lilacs of
Amethyst and Jasper. The wool itself
is Blueface Leicester so has a sheen
already that picks up the colours. I
loved every minute of it. |

This yarn was
inspired by the pagan interests of
my swapee; it is called Triple
Goddess. This treasure is comprised
of three skeins
Maiden – (1 3/8 oz) Spindle spun
Navajo ply of Merino & Tussah Silk
in vibrant red, purple, blue, gold
and crème.
Mother – (1 3/8 oz) Hand-dyed BFL &
Merino, Tussah Silk a two ply of the
singles of the other two yarns.
Crone – (3 3/8 oz) Pale blue and
green hand dyed BFL spun into a
single. |

Les fibres de cet
écheveau contiennent 25% d'angora et
75% de laine fine de mes lapins
angora et de mon troupeau de
moutons. J'ai teint l'écheveau dans
3 récipients et est reconstitué un
écheveau de 90 pouces, enfin j'ai
fait des bandes de couleurs de 30
pouce chacune.
Fiber in skien is 25%
angora and 75% fine wool.from my own
angora rabbits and flock of sheep .
I dye the skein in three 2 quart
canning jars I skeined it out into a
90 inch hank and then sectioned it
into 30 inch color bands. |
